As a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, I am dedicated to providing a professional service, working safely and ethically, to help you navigate life's complexities and challenges.
My approach is personalised and empathetic, ensuring a safe space for you to reach clearer understanding about yourself and on your journey towards healing and growth.
We will meet online; experience has allowed me to appreciate this creates a faster therapeutic bond by meeting in a neutral environment, where you feel most at ease and comfortable, with the added benefit of no travel time or transportation costs.

Why therapy?
Life can be challenging and during difficult times, we feel a full range of emotions. For some of us, we become overwhelmed, perhaps experiencing anxiety, panic or depression and we find it hard to cope.
My non-directive therapeutic approach is calm, warm and accepting; by creating a space of safety where you will be heard and valued without judgement, we will explore the challenges you are facing. In establishing an environment where you feel comfortable, those feelings of self-criticism, anger, sadness or doubt will shift towards self-acceptance, to a sense of self-fulfilment, with better emotional regulation, and personal growth.

Approach
As a humanistic counsellor, I believe that human connection, in the form of a therapeutic relationship, is healing boosting mental health, wellbeing and personal growth. As a non-directive form of therapy, you are free to find your own path through challenges and crises being faced with no set or prescriptive technique. However, by utilising empathy, compassion, listening skills, understanding, and providing a safe environment, these difficult areas can be explored. I will not judge your past or present actions and will adopt unconditional positive regard to facilitate an open and honest environment. This will lead you to healing and personal growth.
Modalities
Within my practice I work creatively and incorporate elements of Person-centred therapy, TA, Gestalt, Compassion-focused therapy, Solution-focused Brief Therapy where appropriate.
